[...] I’ve covered this one. Like how I plug a past post in this post? Sneaky huh? Anyway, as Mark pointed out in my previous post’s comments, Mutt’s “George of the Jungle” moment was about the point where everyone in the audience wanted their suspension of disbelief promptly returned. I’ve been informed that the novelization, which I assume is based off an early draft of the script, omits some of the most hated moments in the film. Namely the oft mentioned UFO fly away, that was evidently added to be a visual grand finale to the movie. Gee Lucas, you shouldn’t have, really . . . no seriously, why did you do that? This just supports my theory that Spielberg and Lucas just love randomly placing Scifi special effects where they don’t belong! :: steps off soapbox :: [...]

What about Mutt swinging through the trees - fast enough to catch up with the cars - but then also smooth enough... to be freakin Tarzan! Lame.

And yeah, seriously - Aliens? X-files has affected everything - and this is what happens when it gets out of hand.

I thought that the nostalgia factor really did help the film out in the end. There was a lot of call backs to the previous films, and even though I read that it was suppose to be a direct sequel to Ninja Turtles II, John pointed out that the samurai gear handing up in one scene would seem to indicate it was actually a true sequel to the craptacular III instead.

Full review should be up later today, but they already greenlit the sequel based on it opening in first place with $25 million in its opening weekend. That's basically the film's budget. Plus the animation done by IMAGI was amazing, the fight between Raph and Leo in the rain on the rooftop was just awesome from a technical standpoint.

Not award winning cinema, but a good time...

Still wanted the Technodrome to bust through the street at the end, that would have set up a sequel!
